After more than 45 years of caring for pets and families in the Lynchburg area, we have made the difficult decision to close Seven Hills Animal Hospital (dba Seven Hills Pet Wellness Center).

Our final day of operation will be September 30, 2026.

Dr. Randal Bradshaw opened Seven Hills in 1981 in an effort to provide the highest quality medicine for pets of Lynchburg and surrounding areas. For more than four decades, our doctors and staff have had the privilege of caring for generations of pets and becoming part of the lives of so many families in our community.

In the spring of 2025, we transitioned from a full-service hospital to a wellness center providing routine wellness exams, vaccinations, and testing for healthy pets. Although retired from full-service practice, Dr. Bradshaw and Dr. Sandra Tall have continued providing wellness services to give pet owners in the area a more affordable option for those routine annual visits.

We understand that choosing a new veterinary practice is an important decision. We strongly encourage you to establish a relationship with another full-service veterinary hospital in the Lynchburg area ASAP. Having an established veterinarian will ensure that your pet has a place to receive ongoing care, treatment when they are sick, and veterinary services that are beyond the scope of the wellness services we have been providing.

PET RECORDS

You do NOT need to request your pets’ records immediately.Your new veterinary hospital can request your pets’ medical records directly from us, even after we close, and we will work with them to help make the transition as smooth as possible.

We will continue to maintain and provide access to your pets’ medical records following our closure and will send a separate email in the future with detailed instructions explaining how you can request records after September 30.

We will also post information about accessing records on our website and Facebook page so that it will be available to you after we close.

WHAT’S NEXT FOR OUR BUILDING?

We are also excited to let you know that our building will remain in the pet care industry! Bark All About It, formerly on Timberlake Rd next to Autozone, is moving in and expanding. They will be offering grooming and boarding (dogs & cats) with plans to add daycare in the near future. 

If you already have a boarding reservation with Seven Hills, you do NOT need to make a new reservation. Bark All About It will be taking over our existing boarding reservations and will contact you with any additional information needed.

It has been an incredible privilege to care for your pets and we are deeply grateful for the trust you have placed in Seven Hills. We know that your pets are family, and we have never taken the responsibility of caring for them lightly.

While closing Seven Hills is a difficult decision, we are proud of the care we have provided and incredibly thankful for the relationships we have built with you and your pets.
